  1. GREAT tune to listen to on this video! Can't wait to get on board June 10 for our fabulous retirement trip!

  2. never did get to make this trip…..altho the view you see is not as in some of the video footage showing the train and scenes from further away………you will see from the ground level the train is on…but wouldn't it be a great trip ? @irene.

  3. Was on the train ride last June. It was really an amazing experience and journey from Vancouver to Kamloop and to Jasper. The great scenery actually started after 1 hr from Vancouver towards Kamloops – snake along some beautiful clear and calm lake and rivers. And when it was about to end, then they start to serve the drinks, wine, alcohol and meal. After meal, we then relax a while. I spent my time reading magazine to understand about the destination and watch video from my ipad. The next day was the same, the beautiful snowcap mountain emerge when we are almost arriving to Jasper. And spotted a few black bears, mountain goats, eagles,. So for me, is a total relax journey that i want to enjoy my Canadian Rockies holiday. I can walk around talking to the crew, make friends with international traveller, enjoy my food, enjoy my reading and enjoy scenery now and then.

  4. just come back from trip on rocky mountaineer silver leaf rainforest to goldrush , expected an awe inspiring scenery from the train, was disappointed. Having booked in Janurary and watched Chris Tarrants extreme railway journeys we were so excited to be on the train, however within 2hrs of joining, after having breakfast,  all we were seeing was trees, in fact we travelled through a tunnel of trees, with little to see but trees on either side of the train by 11am most people on our carriage were asleep, then ended up in a goods yard at prince George  for 1 1/2 hours waiting for a freight train looking at disused buildings, then late in to Quesnel, so to late to eat and same again the next day with few sites to see. covered 330 miles in 13hrs and 320 miles in 14hrs, 75 miles in 4hrs, too slow, too long a day to enjoy. staff on train fantastic, food good, but over hyped for sights, could potentially see better from roads and do it quicker and with more history, take a good book and MP3 to keep you awake, wont be traveling on rocky mountaineer again.
